Why join UNISON?

Most people join a union because they want protection at work - help with pay and conditions of service, legal or health and safety advice or representation in case things go wrong at work. That's what we're here for. UNISON negotiates on pay and working conditions at every level - local, regional and national.

As UNISON members have their subscriptions deducted from their pay packet, we need a signature to authorise membership. UNISON have a General Political Fund and has a small additional subscription to help raise funds that branchs can apply to, to help fund local campaigns. The General Political Fund is in no way connected to any political party and details of this fund can be found by clicking here.
